Positions listed are both Full-Time and Part-Time Summer Seasonal for 2025!

The Talkeetna Educator will report to the Talkeetna Campus Manager and work collaboratively with the DEC Program Director, Youth Program Manager, and Talkeetna Campus Manager to refine existing educational content, develop new programs, and present our suite of youth and adult programming that resonates with DEC’s mission and goals for educational engagement. The Youth Field Educator will assist the Youth Programs Manager with planning, logistics, and preparation for all Denali Education Center youth programs. This will include leading youth programs in Denali’s front-country and backcountry areas, with the potential to assist with youth programs at DEC’s Talkeetna Campus. Successful candidates will be motivated, energetic, flexible, and organized individuals capable of working independently or in a small group setting. Denali Education Center is looking for enthusiastic high school or college students to serve as Instructors-In-Training for Talkeetna Discovery Camp (TDC). TDC is a week-long program focused on inspiring youth through activities like hiking, science, and art. Instructors-in-training will assist lead instructors in teaching and supervising campers through fun and educational activities. Volunteer

We welcome Volunteers at Denali Education Center anytime! We’d love to have you if you’re interested in sweeping a hike, hauling gravel, gardening, working our fundraising events, or any other tasks.

Founded in 1989, the Denali Education Center is a non-advocacy, for-purpose organization and a proud partner of Denali National Park and Preserve. Our mission is to promote understanding and appreciation of Denali through fun, informative, and inspiring programs.

Denali Education Center, through our park partnership and in cooperation with various organizations across Alaska, hosts residential, youth, and affinity group programs that explore Denali’s wilderness.  We welcome and encourage people from all backgrounds and lived experiences to join our team!
